Our automatic and manual security bollards
- Automatic Bollards
- Driveway Bollards
- Telescopic Bollards
Automatic bollards are an incredibly strong and robust security solution, designed to automatically rise and lower to grant authorised access onto your site. They can complete up to 3,000 automated operations per day, with minimal impact on day-to-day access for customers or third parties.
You will often find this style of security bollard in busy and high-traffic sites, such as housing estates, hospitals, retail parks, golf clubs, marinas, and business parks.
At Expert Security, our automatic bollards have an EPDM seal integrated into the flange, so when the bollard is automatically lowered, it fits perfectly into the floor flange. They are finished with LED light crowns, which ensures that they are visible day or night for maximum safety. Whilst fitted with fob access for automation in 6 to 9 seconds, our automatic security bollards can also be manually lowered, when needed.
Driveway bollards are a trusted alternative home security solution to driveway gates, designed to automatically rise and lower to grant authorised access onto your property. They can complete up to 500 automated operations per day, with minimal impact on home day-to-day access.
At Expert Security, our driveway bollards come in an Urban Grey RAL7015 powder coat finish as standard or you could choose to upgrade to Stainless Steel. They are fitted with reflective lighting, which ensures that they are visible day or night for maximum vehicle and pedestrian safety. Whilst fitted with fob access for automation in 6 to 9 seconds, our driveway security bollards can also be manually lowered, when needed.
Telescopic bollards are an unobtrusive, simple-to-use and cost-effective security solution, designed to manually raise and lower to grant authorised access onto your low-traffic site – typically at the beginning and end of your operational hours, without making it difficult for customers.
You will often find this style of security bollard in low-traffic areas, such as forecourts, private car parks, and shopfronts.
At Expert Security, our telescopic bollards can be manually locked into an upright position in seconds thanks to their innovative push-in locking design. When not in use, the telescopic post slides discreetly into its host tube, sealed with a steel flap, just below ground level. They also are fitted with reflective lighting, which ensures that they are visible day or night, for maximum vehicle and pedestrian safety.
Why install security bollards on your commercial property?
1. Physical protection
Security bollards serve as physical barriers to prevent access to unauthorised vehicles, which in turn serves to protect pedestrians, buildings, and critical infrastructure within the area. This is because our high-security bollards are designed to withstand vehicle impact, which helps to prevent ramming attacks and potential damage or injury.
2. Safety enhancement
Security bollards can help guide and control both vehicle and pedestrian traffic flow, ensuring orderly movement and reducing congestion. By separating pedestrian areas from vehicular traffic, security bollards help to reduce the risk of road traffic accidents and injuries.
3. Security improvement
Security bollards can restrict vehicle access to sensitive areas of your site, ensuring that only authorised vehicles can enter. This can be done manually, or through automated access control systems. Furthermore, security bollards can deter criminal activities, such as vehicle-ramming attacks and theft. Criminals are less likely to strike a site with visible security measures, such as bollards; knowing that they are more likely to be stopped, caught, or injured in the attack.
4. Versatility and adaptability
Security bollards come in various styles, automations, materials, and sizes. This flexibility in design and application not only makes them adaptable to the functional needs of the site, but with removable and retractable options available, security bollards support the need of providing temporary site access – without compromising security.
5. Durability and low maintenance
Security bollards are designed to be long-lasting – typically made from durable materials like steel, concrete, or reinforced plastics. This design not only ensures a long lifespan, but once installed, will require minimal maintenance; making them a cost-effective security solution in the long-run.
6. Cost-effectiveness
Compared to other security solutions, security bollards provide an affordable, cost-effective way to enhance the safety and security of your site. Furthermore, by supporting the prevention of accidents and unauthorised access, security bollards can help reduce liability, insurance premiums and potential legal costs for property owners.
Where can security bollards be used?
Security bollards can be found in a wide range of commercial and residential spaces, offering a versatile solution to both traffic and pedestrian management, as well as advanced site security.
You will often find security bollards used to manage and secure:
Private car parks
Retail stores and shopping centres
Banks and financial institutions
